New Essay Question.

I have been attempting to do this Essay but I feel that current question is incompatible with the sources I have. Also, having pulled up my proposal from last March I believe that I have strayed too far from my original intentions and the purpose of my research. This would be detrimental to my project, my research and although David Irving is a significant part of the debate he is just one side. To ignore the other historians in this field simply by stating that they all wrote about history because David Irving wrote about it. This is entirely rudimentary and insulting to the credibility of the historians. I do not believe this post-modernist thinking is adequate when conducting any sort of history. Like Marxism, thinking narrow minded enough as to state that history can be defined into certain categories and theories is not entirely correct either. Making the assumption that history follows a pattern that will definitively reproduce itself in a manner that "things alike history will reoccur" is in itself outdated. Context is but one part of history and so I have prepared a new question for my essay. It is Discuss the different perspectives in the debate of the Bombing of Dresden.
